INTERNSHIP IN CHICAGO

The Mexico Solidarity Network offers full time, paid internships in our Chicago office/community center.  Internships require a minimum six month commitment and may be renewed up to one year.  Interns participate fully in the various programs of the Mexico Solidarity Network, with workload depending on the skills and interests of the interns and the particular needs of the MSN.  Interns may work in any of the following areas: 

Speaking tours.  Interns organize and travel on speaking tours featuring speakers from Mexico’s most important living social movements.

Alternative economy.  Interns coordinate the Alternative Economy program, which distributes fair trade artisanry produced by Zapatista women’s cooperatives. 

Study abroad program.  Interns coordinate outreach and organization of our study abroad program.

Albany Park Autonomous Center.  Interns teach ESL classes, work with a women’s cleaning cooperative, coordinate video nights, and participate in other programs developed by the Albany Park immigrant community. 

Web site development.  Interns assist with web site development and upkeep.
