Trade ministers from throughout the hemisphere will meet in Cancun, Mexico,
from September 10-14 trying to expand the powers of the World Trade
Organization. This is the first meeting of the WTO in this hemisphere since
the famous “battle in Seattle” and civil society will respond again with
vigor and determination. We must derail the WTO!

An international coalition of grassroots organizations and NGOs is
organizing mass demonstrations and a series of alternative conferences and
workshops in Cancun. The Mexico Solidarity Network “Rumbo a Cancun”
delegation will facilitate activists from the United States and Canada who
want to participate in these activities. The Mexico Solidarity Network will
provide hotel rooms, ground transportation, translation, an educational
program and networking opportunities for activists who want to participate
in these historic events.

The cost of the delegation is $300. Delegation applications are available at www.mexicosolidarity.org/delegationform.html.

A limited number of partial scholarships are available for youth of color
under the age of 30.
